p.m. on the 2nd. instant, I examined Principal Warder Sinnott of Victoria Gael, who stated that he had come to the Hospital of his own accord, for medical examination as he had been sent off duty at 6 p.m. by Chief Warder Mcleod for being under the influence of alcohol. I put him through various tests and kept him in conversation for 30 minutes and concluded that though he certainly had taken somed alcohol as his breath smelt slightly of it, still he did not appear to be under its in- -fluence and was in my opinion, capable of performing his

duties.

Finding:-

That Principal Warder Sinnott was under

the influence of Reses drink when he paraded for duty at 5.45 p.m. and unfit, as Night Orderly Officer, to take charge of the

prison.

Recomiend that he be dismissed the service

with effect from the 2nd. August, 1909.
